The MDUAB is constructed with two pairs of wires (4x 0.2mm2), one for data transmission and the other for power. The data transmission line is separated and has its own shielding, which minimizes external interference. This way, power is isolated from signal conductors, allowing for a cleaner and more natural sound.

Triple shielding, consisting of two Mylar foil layers and a tin-plated copper braid, reduces electrical noise and electromagnetic interference (EMI) and prevents crosstalk between neighbouring wires. 24-karat gold-plated connectors reduce losses at the plug-socket connection. The Melodika cable is precisely soldered to the plugs using the highest-quality silver-copper solder.
